Modeling Continues

Here's a few images. I'm throwing in the exploratory bust I made and an expression sheet. I decided to roughly block out the beard to see if the head I was modeling was getting there, I think it's on it's way. My final model will be a combination between the original sketch posted near the very bottom of my blog, the maquette I made, and the expression sheet. Feel free to post some feedback. I'm still very much in progress with this, so ANY would help. Harsh crits are welcomed.

Just out of curosity - what's the plan with the beard? Is it going to move a lot? (Like, is it more like hair or wood?) I'm just wondering because it seems so long.

I think that if you build the beard into his chest it might work out nice. just keep the edge loops going around his chest like a cape and the only weard parts should be when he leans forward.

I think it could still work with some extra blendshapes or bones to help keep it form crushing in.

good times, i think that huge neck bulge might need some tweaking at some point.

I think I agree with Shane (if I'm talking about the same thing he is, not exactly sure) but the muscle bulges on either side of his neck (trapezius muscles, I think) are a little large considering how narrow his neck seems to be and how small the muscles of the rest of his shoulder are.

It does sort of look like a blend of person and tree that way, but I think it might look better if you made them slope a little more into his neck instead of sticking out so far.

Other than that he's looking good. I really like your expression sheet. I think you should try to do the wispy eyebrows on him that you have on the expression sheet. I think it adds to his personality (though I'm not sure how you would do it in 3D, maybe paint fx?)
